Celtic Shield

The inspiration for our Celtic Shield collection comes from the exquisite designs found on the Ardagh Chalice. The Ardagh Chalice (pronounced AR-DA) dates back to the 8th Century.

In Celtic history a shield was used as a symbol of protection for warriors going into battle. Celtic warriors would carry amulets of the charm with them when going to the battlefield. In modern times the Celtic Shield has come to represent eternal love, unity and loyalty between friends, family and lovers because of its connection to love, eternity and unity.
