About the Design

These cufflinks are inspired by the Celtic Trinity Knot (also known as the Triquetra). Constructed of one continuous line interweaving around itself, the Trinity, throughout time, has come to represent different meanings to people and faiths.
The Celts believed the most important things came in threes; three domains (earth, sea and sky). Three elements, three stages of life. It is also possible that the Triquetra signified the lunar and solar phases to the Celts. Trinity knot symbols have been found alongside solar and lunar symbols.
The three points of the Celtic Trinity knot in the Christian faith represent the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy.
The modern era has brought new meaning to the Trinity knot / Triquetra. It is now said to represent the three promises of a relationship; love, honour and protection.
With these Irish handmade Trinity knot cufflinks, you can choose what this ancient Celtic symbol means to you.
